‘I need to get rid of my aunt,’ I told Elliot when I went back to school the next day.

‘You mean like BURY her in QUICKSAND or throw her into a PIT of DEADLY SNAKES?!’

‘Of course not like that,’ I said, rolling my eyes. ‘I just want her to go back to her own home and stay out of mine!’

‘What’s she done?’

‘She’s not letting me do anything, that’s what! Last night I wanted to make dinner, but she wanted to take us out for pizza. She did all my chores, and she finished my almond milk when, as far as I know, she doesn’t have any food allergies!’

‘I think your aunt sounds great! She takes you out for pizza, she does your chores, who wouldn’t want that?’ said Elliot. ‘I’d be over the moon if someone else wanted to do my chores for me.’

‘She also said mean stuff about my dad, so trust me, she’s not great. And anyway, I actually want to do my chores, so I don’t need her doing them for me. Plus, I want to be the person looking out for Ramona and Oscar, which I know my dad would want. And that’s the kind of stuff superheroes do, isn’t it? Look out for people.’
